   to go boldly, venture, risk, dare, adj not to be afraid; to be bold, courageous; tough; persistent, determined; to persevere bravely
   
2. ស៊ូ ( v ) [suu]
   to prefer (to do something); would rather ... (instead), better to ...
   Eg. ស៊ូលិចទូកកណ្ដាល​ទន្លេ កុំឲ្យភ្លើងឆេះផ្ទះ: Better for a boat to sink in the middle of the river than for fire to consume the house.
3. ស៊ូ ( n ) [suu]
   kind of pale green vegetable covered with stiff hairs and about the size of an avocado (it is grown extensively in Vietnam)
